eYarder.com's online collection include more than 92 window treatment and bed covering calculators. Our calculators are broken down into the following categories: drapery panels, swags and cascades, valances, shades, cornices, bedding, and accessories. The drapery panel line currently consists of 27 drapery panel window treatment calculators. The shade line includes 17 soft shade calculators. The cornice line includes 11 padded cornice calculators, the accessories line includes 8 yardage calculators, the expanding valance line which presently includes 29 calculators, and the bedding line which presently includes 2 dust ruffle calculators for a total of 92 calculators in all. New calculators are being released on a scheduled basis so check back often!

Can I customize pricing for each calculator?

Yes. Using our administrative tools, you can enter your own pricing for each individual drapery calculator. Your pricing information is saved permanently so you only have to enter it once. If at any time in the future you change your pricing, you can simply edit your pricing tables on eYarder.com.

Can I use eYarder.com for yardage only and not use the pricing feature?

Yes. The pricing feature is optional. You can use the yardage calculator and disable the pricing feature if you wish.

What does it cost?

Our services are sold on a subscription basis. You can sign up with a single user account, or add multiple user licenses in increments of five. As we add new lines such as swags, cascades, bedding and valances you'll be able to upgrade your membership to include these new tools.

Can I let my customer's login to calculate their own estimates?

Yes! If you are a workroom, and have subscribed as a multi-user customer you can assign login names and passwords to your customers, designers and decorators so that they can login and generate their own yardage and pricing estimates. This frees you up from having to do this work until the project really become a job..

Am I entitled to use new drapery calculators without additional cost?

If a new calculator is added to the Web site and placed into a category that you currently subscribe to, the new calculator will be available to you at no cost. For example, if you subscribe to our "drapery panel package" and we add a new drapery panel calculator, the new calculator will be available to you at no additional cost.

What hardware and software is required to use eYarder.com's tools?

To use our window treatment calculators, all you will need is a computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. You can use a Windows computer or a Mac computer. Although a high-speed Internet connect is preferable (DSL or Cable), a dial up connection will work just fine. Your computer also needs to have the Adobe Flash Plugin installed (most likely this is already on your computer). The Flash plugin can be downloaded for free by clicking here. That's it! There is nothing to download and nothing to install.

Where do the calculator tools get their pricing from?

All eYarder.com accounts include at least one Administrator account. Users with Administrative privileges can use the eYarder.com setup and admin tools to enter their workroom's pricing. All pricing should be entered in retail amounts. Discounts given to designers and customers can me taken directly off of eYarder.com's retail pricing.

When your account is established, default pricing is entered into your pricing files. You should review and update this information to reflect your pricing before submitting any quotes to your customers. The templated pricing is there to help you get started and is not intended to be used in place of your actual pricing.

Can I print the results to my printer?

Yes. You can print out the results to your printer. The printed output will resemble a work order. In fact, many of our customers use the printed output as a work order. Each drapery calculator will print pricing, yardage, a detailed description of the project including finished measurements and options, as well as a picture of the window treatment for reference. A color printer makes the output even better!

We have carefully formatted the output to make certain that the entire contents of an estimate print neatly onto a single sheet of paper. To use the print feature, you must use the print button that is built into each calculator tool and not the print button from your web browser.

Who will be able to see my workroom's pricing?

Each subscriber is assigned a personal secure folder on eYarder.com's server when they first become a member. All workroom pricing, login names and passwords, and customer data is stored in your personal folder. When you login to eYarder.com and use the calculator tools, your data is automatically integrated into the calculator tools for you and the other login names assigned to your account. No other subscriber of eYarder.com is able to access or view your personal information.

What happens to my workroom's pricing if I cancel my membership?

When you cancel your membership with eYarder.com, you have the option to receive a copy of all of your pricing files before they are destroyed. eYarder.com will destroy all data after a customer cancels their membership as per our privacy statement. If you renew your membership with eYarder.com at a later date, you can send us your pricing files and avoid from having to re-enter them.

Does eYarder.com share data with third party vendors?

No! eYarder.com will not sell, share or make available any of their customer's data to third party vendors for any reason. As per our privacy statement, eYarder.com will not review, read, or access client data for any purpose other than to assist a customer with troubleshooting a problem.

What type of advertisers will advertise on eYarder.com?

On eYarder.com, there are two forms of advertising. This first type of advertisements are automatically placed on the Web site using Google's Adsence program. This form of advertising allows Google to read keywords on our Website and determine what advertisers might be interesting in reaching our audience based on keywords alone.

The second form of advertising is more targeted. Each calculator tool on eYarder.com has the ability to show one ad each time the calculator tool is loaded. These ad's will be target specific and negotiated on an individual basis between eYarder.com and the advertiser. The advertisers that we are seeking for this area of our Website are vendors who do not compete with our member base such as: hardware companies, fabric companies, and companies who sell to the workroom and design trade.

As a policy, we will do our best to screen out advertisers that might have a conflict of interest with our member base.

Can I email a quote directly from eYarder.com to my customer?

Yes. To email a quote, you'll have to first print the quote to a file using one of the many "PDF Printer Driver" available on the Internet. For Mac OS X users, this feature is built into the operating systems. For PC users, we recommend the free PDF printer driver PDF4U by PDF Bean Inc. With this software installed, you can print your quotes to a file on your computer and then attach them to an email for distribution to your customers. If you wish to fax your quotes from eYarder.com you'll have to have a fax printer driver installed on your computer.

Can I use eYarder.com for yardage calculations only?

Yes. If your a designer, decorator or retail store and your primary interest is to calculate yardage for fabrics and trims, you can sign up for a subscription that is limited to calculating yardage only. If at anytime in the future you wish to include workroom pricing with your yardage estimates, all you have to do is contact eYarder.com and have your subscription upgraded. There is an additional cost to add pricing to a yardage only subscription.

Why don't I see pricing changes in the calculator tools immediately after I make them?

Whenever you make a change to pricing information using the administrative setup tools section of eYarder.com, you will need to logout and logon again in order for your pricing changes to be reloaded into the calculator tools.

In addition, if your web browser is not setup to reload a new copy of web pages, images files and media files evertime you visit a web page then you might be viewing your web pages from a stored (chached) copy on your local machine. If you believe that this is your problem, make certain to check your Web browser settings and configure your browser to check for new versions of store pages every time you vist a web page.

If using Internet explorer, you can accomplish this by opening the tools menu and selecting internet options. On the General tab click the settings button next to browsing history and make certain to select "Every time I visit the web page." If you are using Firefox, you'll need to enter "about:config" into the address bar. Then, search down the page for "browser.cache.check_doc_frequency and make certain the value is set to 1.

How can I cancel my subscription?

If you are a monthly subscriber, you can cancel your subscription prior to the beginning of the next months service by sending an email message to: support@eyarder.com. Make certain to include the word cancel in your subject line and provide us with your contact information and account number.

If you are an annual subscriber, you can cancel your subscription anytime before the end of your one year term, however, no refunds are given for early termination of services. Why is there a field locked in each of the tools during a free trial?

eYarder.com is a service dedicated to window treatment professionals such as: drapery workrooms, designers, decorators, retail stores and upholstery workrooms. The purpose of our free trial membership is to help window treatment professional gain an understanding of how our service works, to see how easy our service is to use, and to see what tools are currently available.

We have many consumers and some professionals that register for a free trial with the sole purpose of getting a "quick free calculation", typically for a do-it-yourself project.

Because of this, we have locked one field in each of our calculators during your free trial. Once you become a subscriber, you will be assigned a new account without the locked-field restriction as well as the ability to perform administrative functions such as editing your custom pricing.

Does eYarder.com offer multi-level pricing?

Yes! eYarder.com offers the ability to manage three levels of pricing: retail, wholesale and custom. Using this feature, you can easily and instantly switch pricing levels on your quotes. The multi-level pricing data is managed using our online setup tools, giving you the ability to customize pricing for each level. This feature is not available with all subscriptions. Check with your eYarder.com representative to have the feature added to your subscription.

Can I include my company logo on all print outs and calculator pages?

Yes! eYarder.com is designed to allow subscribers to place a copy of their company's logo into their account using our logo upload tool. This tool can be located in the setup section of the Web site. You must be an administrator of your account to use the logo upload tool. Once your logo has been uploaded to the server, it will automatically appear on all calculator pages and on all print-outs.

Why do you require a credit card for a free trial?

Our free trial is designed to allow the window treatment professional to evaulate our services and learn from hands on experience how eYarder.com can help you grow your window treatment business. Our services are designed for the window treatment professional.

Unfortunately, there are numerous non-professionals (individuals) who are looking for free answers to their yardage and pricing needs. We have learned over the years that the only way to separate the serious window treatment professional from individual is to require a valid credit card up front.

We do not charge your credit card during the free trial period. We process an authorization on your card to make certain that the card is valid and in good standings. After the trial period, if you wish to remain a subscriber, your credit card will automatically be charged.

The EZ Pleating Calculator is a revolutionary product that is capable of pleating drapery (with hidden seams) without the need for any complex math or special equipmentment. Anyone can learn how to use this tool and become a pleating expert in a matter of minutes.

This tool is typically used by workroom's and fabricators and is sold separately.

Does eYarder.com use Cookies to track users?

No! eYarder.com does not use Cookies and will not write any cookie data to your hard drive. However, you may need to configure your browser to accept third party cookies in order for eYarder.com to login you in and keep you logged in while you use the web site. It sounds a little odd, but even though we do not write cookies to your hard drive, you still need to have cookies enabled within your web browser in order for you to use eYarder.com.

The reason for this is that the HTTP protocol that you use to browse the web is stateless and we must create a temporary Session variable (like a cookie) to remain connected to your computer while you work on our web site. Each request for a page is completely independant of earlier requests, so if you want subsequent pages to "remember" the user name that you entered when you logged in, we have to store that information on your computer temporarily.
